Reputation: 0. #2. 27-08-2011, 04:33 PM. The 2.0 HDi is respected as being a good engine. It is not as economical as the 1.6 HDi, but in other respects, there is not much to choose between them. To the best of my knowledge, in terms of maintenance and reliability, they are much of a muchness. I have a 2011 berlingo 1.6hdi first problem I had was warning of particle filter clogging which is strange as my mileage is 75% motorway. It was due a timing belt so when it was in the garage I had the mechanic check the pat fluid and it was all topped up and some dpf cleaner put through the system. 10-11-2016, 10:20 PM.
